The Lexus new generation ES sedan, introduced at the Auto Shanghai Auto Show in China, will be launched as the eighth generation ES. Equipped with full hybrid and electric engine options, the new Lexus ES will also be offered for sale in Türkiye next year.
The new Lexus ES aims to increase comfort, performance and safety levels with advanced technologies and design features. The model offers features such as ride quality, silence and comfort in an even more advanced way.
Among the engine options, there is the ES 2.5h model, which combines a 201-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor and produces 300 hp. This model will be offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions for the European market. The Eastern European market will have the ES 247h version with 350 hp. Both hybrid models use improved battery and control algorithms to provide high efficiency and powerful acceleration.
Other electrification options include the ES 224e with 350 hp and the ES 343e with all-wheel drive and 500 hp, both of which demonstrate Lexus’ expertise in electric vehicle technology.
In terms of design, the new ES, shaped in line with Lexus’ “Clean Tech x Elegance” philosophy, stands out with its simple and functional lines. The “Spindle” grille design emphasizes the electric power and modern silhouette. When viewed from the side, the vehicle exhibits a sleek and aerodynamic appearance, while its low center of gravity and fluid silhouette draw attention. The new model, which has grown significantly in terms of length, width and height, is 165 mm long, 55 mm wide and approximately 110 mm high, while the wheelbase has increased by 80 mm to 2.950 mm.
The interior design is marked by simple and sophisticated details. The cabin was designed in accordance with Lexus' Tazuna cockpit philosophy. Control and information systems are positioned in a way that is easily accessible with hand and eye movements. The 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and 14-inch central touch screen are equipped with quality materials and dynamic light effects. In addition, the hidden button technology in the interior offers ease of use and aesthetics together. These buttons are invisible when the vehicle is off, and illuminate when the vehicle is started, providing intuitive use.
