
The management of Istanbul Electric Tramway and Tunnel Operations (IETT) has implemented an extraordinary application in line with the principles of “On-Site Service” and “Better Each Time”. On Monday, April 28th, at 05.30:XNUMX, all managers from the general manager to the department heads came together with the IETT captains in all the garages and platforms of IETT, extending from Beylikdüzü to Pendik Kurtköy.
Morale and Support Visit from Managers to Captains
IETT buses and metrobuses, which are preparing for the first trips of the day, set off for their duty areas in the early hours of the morning after meticulous maintenance every night. IETT managers did not leave the captains working in this intense tempo alone. The managers, who visited all the garages simultaneously, wished the captains success in their duties and listened to their requests in person. These meetings allowed the managers to communicate directly with the field workers and learn their problems and suggestions firsthand. In addition, the managers visited the maintenance and repair workshops in the IETT garages and thanked the maintenance personnel who work devotedly to ensure that the IETT vehicles serve the people of Istanbul without any problems, and chatted with them for their efforts.
Contact with Citizens While Going to Work by Public Transport
After the visits at the garages, IETT managers used IETT’s planned bus and metrobus services to go to their places of duty. During this journey, they had friendly conversations with both the citizens waiting at the stops and the passengers in the vehicles. The managers, who directly listened to the opinions, suggestions and complaints of Istanbulites about IETT services, exhibited a concrete example of the “On-Site Service” approach. In this way, important feedback was collected for the improvement of IETT services and the increase of citizen satisfaction.
Works Will Continue with the Aim of “On-Site Service” and “For Betterment”
This meaningful field work of IETT was carried out by the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu's “On-Site Service” and “Better Each Time” goals were achieved. IETT management has once again demonstrated its determination to provide a higher quality and more effective public transportation service by identifying the expectations and needs of citizens in all parts of the city on-site. Such field studies by IETT show that it will continue to listen to the voices of Istanbulites by establishing direct communication with them and will constantly strive to increase its service quality.
