Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's Traditional Tulip Festival Added Color to Istanbul

The Tulip Festival, which has become a tradition by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), presented a visual feast to Istanbulites on April 19-20. The two-day events witnessed colorful scenes at various points of the city and attracted great attention from Istanbulites of all ages.

Spring Excitement at Three Main Points

Organized in collaboration with the IMM Parks and Gardens Department and the IMM Culture Department, the Tulip Festival events were held at three main locations: Göztepe 60th Year Park, Emirgan Grove and Gülhane Grove. In the events where the IMM Orchestras celebrated the arrival of spring with music, the IMM Chamber Music Ensemble and the IMM Marching Band performed at iconic venues in Istanbul.

Special Entertainment for Children in Göztepe

Göztepe 60th Year Park was flooded especially by families with children. Clown shows, magician performances, stilt shows, face painting events, music concerts, juggling and acrobatic shows were greatly appreciated by the little visitors.

Tulip Festival and Art in Emirgan Grove

Emirgan Grove dazzled with impressive flower arrangements such as “I LOVE ISTANBUL”, “Tulip Stream”, “Pink Ribbon” and “Turkish Flag & Rose Motif”. Band shows, acrobatics and juggling shows, face painting events, stilt and clown shows and various music and magician performances that lasted throughout the day turned the grove into a festival area. In addition, the grove, where 100 different tulip varieties were exhibited, created the opportunity to present unique frames for photography enthusiasts.

Meeting of Flowers and Art in a Historical Atmosphere in Gülhane

Fascinating with its historical atmosphere, Gülhane Grove hosted face painting events, clown and stilt shows, music concerts, magic and juggling performances. The natural beauty of the grove combined with the colors of the flowers provided enjoyable moments for visitors.

Istanbul Turned Into a Sea of ​​Tulips

A total of 7 tulips and bulbous plants planted in five different locations in Istanbul have transformed the city into an open-air flower exhibition. Emirgan Grove, Göztepe 780. Yıl Park, Gülhane Grove, Hıdiv Grove and Sultanahmet Square were decorated not only with tulips but also with other flowers that herald spring such as narcissus, hyacinth, freesia, lily and Arabian hyacinth. This year, for the first time, Yıldız Grove has also gained a colorful appearance with 60 new bulbous plants. Istanbulites can continue to see this visual feast in the specified groves and squares.
