In this context, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and DOKAP (Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration) implemented the cooperation “Irrigation Water Project”, will make a significant contribution to regional agriculture.
Modern Irrigation System to be Established in 3 Decare Area
Continuing its support to increase agricultural production in 19 districts of Ordu, the Metropolitan Municipality has signed a major project for Akkuş sugar beans. Total 3 thousand 564 acres to be applied in the field 28 Million TL Thanks to the budgeted “Irrigation Water Project”, producers will earn higher income per unit area and the production network of Akkuş sugar beans will be expanded. This investment aims to significantly increase the agricultural potential in the region.

Akkuş Chamber of Agriculture President Ahmet Kaya, who thanked President Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler for this important project to be implemented in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and DOKAP, emphasized that the project is of great importance for producers. Kaya said, “With this project, our producers will both produce more and the production network of Akkuş Sugar Beans will expand.”
