'Energy Strategy of the Future' Discussed at Uludağ Energy Summit

The Uludağ Energy Summit, spearheaded by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) Energy Council, was held at Bursa Business School on April 17-18. Bringing together all the dynamics of the energy sector under the theme of 'Future Energy Strategy', the summit gave important messages regarding the future of the energy sector.

The Uludağ Energy Summit, organized at Bursa Business School, the reference education center of the business world, hosted the leading names of the energy sector for two days. The Uludağ Energy Summit, which sheds light on the transformation of the energy sector with the aim of being a platform where the energy strategies of the future are shaped, was concluded after comprehensive sessions. The summit, which was also attended by Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Dr. Zafer Demircan and sector representatives, discussed many topics from Türkiye's energy vision to domestic technology and mega energy investments, from financial transformation to artificial intelligence transformation in the sector, from energy storage systems to the transformation strategy in fossil fuels.

BTSO Board Chairman İbrahim Burkay, who stated that energy has become the main agenda item of not only a sector but also the entire business world, said, “Our summit set out this year with the motto of ‘Energy Strategy of the Future’. We discussed many topics from hydrogen to wind, supply security to technological developments at the summit, where we evaluated global dynamics in the energy sector and Türkiye’s strategic role, and financing of the energy transformation. Our biggest goals are for the energy sector to have a more efficient, more competitive and more sustainable structure. In this context, our Uludağ Energy Summit, which we organized, has become a solution-oriented platform that inspires not only the energy sector but also our entire business world. I would like to thank our BTSO Energy Council Chairman Erol Dağlıoğlu, our council members and everyone who contributed.”

“Important Messages Were Given at the Summit”

BTSO Energy Council President Erol Dağlıoğlu said that the summit was quite productive. Dağlıoğlu emphasized that renewable sources such as solar and wind energy, as well as energy storage technologies and artificial intelligence-supported energy management systems were discussed in the program, and said, “Energy is the basis of many technologies from data centers to electric vehicles. Therefore, we talked not only about production but also storage. Hydrogen, which is shown as one of the energy sources of the future, was also on our agenda. The summit was quite productive with valuable sharing by public, civil society organizations, academicians and leading figures of the business world. The participation was quite intense. Important messages were given regarding the future of the sector. We aim to organize the Energy Summit, the first of which we held at Bursa Business School, in a more powerful way in the coming years.
