NEOADJUVANT TREATMENT REDUCE TUMORS
The following information was provided about neoadjuvant therapy in the presentations: “Neoadjuvant therapy is usually the first-stage treatment method applied to reduce tumor size before the main treatment method planned as surgery. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy and hormone therapies are the main approaches that constitute neoadjuvant therapy. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy has more than one application method. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy can be administered orally (by mouth), intravenously (through a vein) and by injection. The main proven benefits of neoadjuvant chemotherapy are to enable the removal of tumors that cannot be removed with surgical operations and to enable inoperable tumors to be operated on.”
