Marmara Career Fair (MARMARAKAF), which will bring together leading institutions of Türkiye with university students and graduates, is opening its doors to establish an employment and internship bridge. The fair, which will be organized under the coordination of the Presidency Human Resources Office, with the partnership of 14 universities and the cooperation of Kocaeli Governorship and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, will be hosted by Kocaeli University on April 28-29 at the Kocaeli Congress Center and aims to make a significant contribution to the participants in their career journeys.
The Talent Everywhere Regional Career Fairs, which aim to establish a strong bridge between young talents and the business world, continue uninterruptedly under the coordination of the Presidency Human Resources Office (CBİKO). The Marmara Career Fair (MARMARAKAF), which is a part of this important organization, was hosted by Kocaeli University last year and became the largest career fair in Europe with 1142 companies, 103 visitors and 771 events.
It was decided that MARMARAKAF, which was deemed worthy of the “Most Effective Regional Career Fair” award by CBİKO, will be organized again on 28-29 April 2025, hosted by Kocaeli University, at the Kocaeli Congress Center.
The fair, which will be realized under the coordination of CBİKO, with the cooperation of 14 universities and the support of Kocaeli Governorship and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, will offer its participants internship and job opportunities, as well as direct communication with industry leaders, inspiring interviews and career-developing events. While the fair continues to play a critical role in the career journeys of young people, it also continues to provide a platform for the business world to reach qualified talents.
“The Most Valuable Investment in the Strategic Human Resources of the Future”
Kocaeli University President Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, who underlined that they wrote an inspiring ‘story’ between our young talents and the strong representatives of the business world with the fair held last year, said, “This year, we will turn this success into a ‘novel’ by standing shoulder to shoulder with all our valuable stakeholders. Marmara Career Fair (MARMARAKAF) has a meaning far beyond being a meeting point that only responds to today’s needs. In fact, it is the most valuable investment made in the strategic human resources of the future for the business world.
Because MARMARAKAF is not only a platform where CVs are created, but also a ‘bridge’ where young people who will shape Türkiye’s future can discover their limitless potential, express themselves and take their first steps towards their dreams with confidence. With this vision, we are indescribably proud to host such a big and meaningful organization for the second time hosted by Kocaeli University and to successfully represent Turkey on the European stage,” he said.
Last year broke the record with numbers
Performance analyses conducted last year reveal with striking data that the Marmara Career Fair (MARMARAKAF) is not just an event, but a platform where real employment opportunities arise. According to the results obtained, each company participating in the fair received an average of 676 stand visits, while companies collected an average of 96 CVs, and an impressive rate of 66% of these CVs were contacted directly. On the student side, each student contacted an average of 30 different companies, and an average of three of these contacts resulted in direct feedback. These rates show that the fair, which effectively brings together companies seeking qualified employment with young people at the beginning of their career journey, is a strategic organization in terms of the country's economy and human resources.
Fair Sheds Light on Young People's Career Journeys
The fair will shed light on the career journeys of young people not only with job and internship opportunities but also with valuable events that it will organize. Throughout the fair, mayors, Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) managers and leading representatives of the sector will come together with students in special panels such as “Local Administrations and Career”, “Industry and Career”, “Career Opportunities in Automotive” to share their experiences and provide important information about the professions of the future.
During the fair, young people will have the opportunity to meet not only potential employers but also important names who inspire them with their own career stories. Special speakers in the program will motivate and guide young people to achieve their career goals.
Students and graduates who want to participate in the fair must complete the registration process through the Talent Gate website.
