The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Human Resources and Education Department is selecting its new personnel to make Istanbul a more organized, more livable and safer city. During the application exam stage, candidates try to overcome difficult courses with their fitness.
The Firefighter practical exam is held between April 7 and May 2, and the Police Officer practical exam is held between April 7 and 11. A total of 2.078 candidates who want to become Firefighters and 860 candidates who applied for Police Officer positions are taking the practical exam.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Firefighter practical exam is held between April 7-May 2 at the IMM Police Department Campus Tekzen, while the Police Officer exam is held between April 7-11 at the IMM Fatih Sports Complex. Candidates who participate in the written exam compete in the practical exam. Firefighter candidates take the 2-stage practical exams as a fitness and vehicle track. Candidates compete on a track consisting of 8 stages and 4 power stations. In the fitness track, candidates experience their excitement at the peak, as well as going through stages such as rope pulling, using a water hose, and carrying a 60-kg simulated mannequin in the given time. The track where the ability to drive a vehicle is evaluated is held at the Yenikapı Event Area.
For the Police Officer recruitment, 09.00 people take the practical exam daily between 17.00-200 on the specified dates, and for the Firefighter recruitment, 09.00 candidates take the practical exam daily between 17.00-120 on the specified dates.
For Firefighter recruitment; Male candidates will take the exam between April 7-28, and Female candidates will take the exam between April 29-May 2.
For the Police Officer recruitment; Male candidates take the exam on 7-10 April and Female candidates take the exam on 11 April.
Of the candidates who pass the exams, 785 will be eligible to become firefighters and 315 will be eligible to become police officers.
