Aegean Young Businessmen Association (EGİAD) organized an important event to guide its members who want to leave their mark in the business world, make a difference and be among the successful leaders of the future. The “Young Businessperson and Leadership” seminar, organized by the Society, Arts and Sports Commission, EGİAD It was organized with intense participation at the Association Center.
At the seminar, Executive Coach Naci Demiral shared striking information on the skills a successful leader should have and the value-based leadership approach. Demiral, who explained the impact of value-based leadership on companies and societies, also introduced his book "Değir'Leader". Giving the opening speech of the seminar, EGİAD Chairman Kaan Özhelvacı emphasized that leadership has been in constant change and development throughout history, and stated that the skills that a successful leader should have today have become much more critical. “The leaders of the future are not only those who manage today, but also those who build tomorrow. Being successful is not just about financial gain, but also about inspiring and creating value,” he said.
Özhelvacı, who stated that the leadership approach has evolved into a human-focused direction, said, “Today’s leaders must understand the values of the people they manage, give them the necessary importance and unite around a common vision. Traditional management models are giving way to modern human-focused management strategies.”

The seminar also drew attention to the importance of ethical values in leadership. Özhelvacı said, “Honesty is an indisputable principle. Leadership requires defending what is right and prioritizing ethical practices. At the same time, leadership requires focusing on long-term social benefit, not short-term gain.” He stated that responsible leaders should serve society.
In addition, Özhelvacı, who touched upon Atatürk's understanding of leadership as a source of inspiration, said, "Atatürk based his leadership on universal values such as justice, freedom and equality, as well as reason and science. His understanding of leadership is a legacy that illuminates not only the past but also the future."
