“YOU HAVE BROUGHT OUR 5-YEAR-OLD STORY TOGETHER WITH THE MOST MEANINGFUL SUMMARY OF ANKARA”

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, AKK President Halil İbrahim Yılmaz said, “The spirit that carried the story that started on horseback in the Tanrı Mountains 5 thousand years ago to the Mediterranean Basin was the spirit of unity and integrity. Therefore, you cannot fit that spirit of unity and integrity into an encyclopedia, but you can put it into a painting with a brush stroke. That 5 thousand year old spirit, the belief that makes us a nation, the power that brings us together, is not a matter of materiality. Ankara City Council is an area that opens the channel of democracy. We also opened the vein of democracy against prejudices. We are glad you came and brought our 5 thousand year old story together with the most meaningful summary of Ankara, stating that we can capture our spirit with culture and art.”

“I DEARLY WANT TO HOLD AN EXHIBITION IN YOUTH PARK”

Painter Mustafa Kaya (Akozan), the architect of the works in the exhibition, expressed his aim to bring the works in his collection together with more art lovers with the support of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality:

“As the Turkish nation, our greatest characteristic that distinguished us from other nations was the principalities. We never judged anyone’s language, religion or race in the countries we ruled. I sincerely want to hold an exhibition in Ankara’s Gençlik Park, if possible, in order to better introduce the Turkish culture, which contains so many beauties in its traditions and culture.”

“WE HAVE TO MAKE ANKARA THE CAPITAL OF THE TURKIC WORLD”

İYİ Party Ankara Provincial Chairman Dr. Yener Yıldırım started his speech with the words of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, “The artistic talent of a nation is measured by the value it gives to fine arts,” and said the following:

“I would like to thank Mr. Mustafa Kaya, who contributed to the opening of this exhibition and drew the picture of all our ancestors who were heroes in all science, arts and politics in the Turkish world. While we are reshaping the world, we need to reshape Ankara in the changing and developing world. Our Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Mr. Mansur Yavaş, is also working intensively on this issue. We also need to prepare the Turkish world for the future. The center that will prepare this place is Ankara, the capital of the Republic. We have to make Ankara the capital of the Turkish world with art and culture.”

The exhibition will be open to art lovers from the capital between 11-12 March 2025 at the Ankara City Council Building.
