The youth had the opportunity to have an in-depth discussion on addiction, youth problems and social effects through the film “Christiane F.”
In the event organized at the Historical Gas Factory with the cooperation of the Young Izmir unit, which operates under the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, and Dokuz Eylül University's active student groups Career Community, Yeşilay Community and PDR Community, young people watched the cult movie "Christiane F.", which was adapted for the cinema from the autobiography book Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo by German author Vera Christiane Felscherinow.
Following a special screening of the film, which tells the story of Christiane Felscherinow, a bored and depressed 1970-year-old growing up in West Berlin in the mid-13s, transforming into a 14-year-old heroin addict, young people listened to DEÜ Research Assistant Rahman Özden’s analysis of the film. The young people had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions about addiction, youth issues and social impacts through the film.
