The Landscape Industry Meets in Izmir

With the increase in urbanization and environmental awareness, the importance and size of the landscaping sector is increasing day by day. So much so that the global landscaping products market size is estimated to reach 2024 billion dollars in 88,60, and it is expected to reach approximately 2034 billion dollars by 170,46. The sector, which is a complementary element of the construction sector, meets in Izmir, where the ornamental plants and landscaping sector produce the most. In this context, sector professionals will come together at the 'Ornamental Plants and Landscape Fair' to be organized by Sinerji Fair Organization at Fuar Izmir on November 6-8, 2025.

With the increase in urbanization and environmental awareness, the importance of the landscape sector is increasing worldwide. This situation presents a great opportunity for Turkey. Turkey, which has significant potential in ornamental plant production thanks to its geographical location and climate conditions, is on its way to transforming this potential into a rapid growth in the ornamental plant and landscape sector.

However, despite its significant advantages, Türkiye is not yet getting a sufficient share from the world ornamental plants trade. Although ornamental plants exports have increased, this increase has not reached the desired levels.

However, the labor and intensive work force in the sector also adds value to employment. According to the Ornamental Plants Producers Sub-Union report, direct employment in the sector is around 100 thousand, while indirect employment is approaching 500 thousand.

“Landscape Applications Are Now a Must”

Drawing attention to the fact that landscaping applications are no longer a choice but a necessity, Sinerji International Fair General Manager Gülden Parlak said, “Rapid urbanization and comprehensive infrastructure projects are significantly increasing the demand for professional landscaping services. As cities expand, the need for aesthetic green areas and well-maintained outdoor environments is also becoming critical. This encourages investments in landscaping solutions for both residential and commercial properties. As a result of our research, we saw the need for an international fair in order to increase our country’s share of this growing market and took action. In this context, we will bring together sector professionals in İzmir, where the highest production in the sector is made, at the Ornamental Plants and Landscape Fair on November 6-8, 2025.”

“Türkiye May Be the Center of Attraction for the Sector”

Expressing that there is no obstacle to Türkiye becoming a center of attraction for the landscaping and ornamental plants sector, Parlak continued his words as follows: “It is high time to crown İzmir, which hosts the fairs of the leading sectors of our country such as Marble, Textile and Fashion, with the landscaping sector as well. Considering the natural beauties of İzmir and the harmony of the landscape, there is no obstacle for this sector to find the place it deserves in İzmir. Our country has a great advantage in this field. Both its geographical location and climate and the fact that our population is young compared to Europe make us stand out. We aim to contribute to our country reaching the place it deserves in the sector by bringing together sector professionals from different geographies such as Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and the Turkic Republics on a single platform.”
