Syrian Central Government Agreed on Ceasefire with YPG

The central government of Syria has signed a significant ceasefire agreement with the YPG terrorist group that controls the northeast of the country. The agreement includes the unification of the armed forces and the transfer of control points in the region to the central government. The agreement, expected to come into effect by the end of the year, will bring all border crossings, airports and oil fields in the northeast with Iraq and Turkey under the control of the central government.

The signing ceremony, which was held on March 10 with the participation of senior officials from Syria’s interim government and the YPG, was announced by the Syrian Presidency. This development is considered an important step for the interim government to ensure the unity of the country after the fall of the Assad Regime following 13 years of civil war.

Last year, following the overthrow of the Assad regime by a comprehensive operation carried out by the opposition in Syria, a new administration was established. This administration took an important step towards strengthening national unity by signing this agreement in order to ensure the integrity of the country and to take a strong stance against terrorist groups in the region.

The new Syrian administration is determined to end the activities of terrorist groups trying to realize their interests in the region and to unite Syria under a single administration. This agreement with the YPG is seen as an important step towards Syria's national unity.
