The Rocky Mountaineer is expanding its current route from the Rockies to Red Rocks to Salt Lake City in 2026. This luxury train trip promises to be an unforgettable experience, offering travelers stunning views and natural beauty.
The route, which began in 2021, extended from Denver, Colorado, to Moab, Utah. With the new route, Canyon Spirit trains will operate weekly to Salt Lake City starting April 21, 2026. The extension will give passengers the opportunity to more closely explore the mountain passes and desert plateaus of eastern Utah.
The new program offers a three-day excursion experience, where passengers will enjoy the flow of the Colorado River and the sweeping views of the Great Basin Desert, while also staying two nights in Glenwood Springs and Moab. Ticket prices for this trip start at $2.123 per person.
