One of NATO's most important anti-submarine warfare exercises Dynamic Manta 25, was successfully completed in the Central Mediterranean with the participation of 11 NATO countries, including Turkey. This year's exercise aimed to strengthen the Alliance's ability to detect, track and counter submarine threats in one of NATO's most strategic waterways by bringing together the Alliance's air, surface and submarine capabilities.
Drill, Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) It is an annual event led by the NATO Submarine Commander and has been noted as an important indicator of NATO's commitment to common defence. The exercise, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, United Kingdom and USA Nine warships, 11 aircraft and more than 9 sailors from 13 NATO countries participated.

Highlights of the Dynamic Manta 2025 Exercise

Application Areas of the Exercise
Participating units conducted a variety of training series, including extensive tactical communication and maneuvering exercises. During the exercise, submarines took turns hunting and evading, working in close coordination with air and sea surface units. These exercises provided valuable experience in detecting and countering submarine threats.
In addition to testing NATO’s anti-submarine warfare capabilities, Dynamic Manta 25 strengthened cooperation and coordination among alliance members and was a critical step towards enhancing security in the Mediterranean region.
