Kayseri's Vision Project 'Informatics Academy' Begins

Kayseri Informatics Academy, which was implemented by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality as one of the visionary projects of Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, will start on March 15, 2025. Young people will gain competence in the field of information technologies and will be trained as experts of the future.

The Metropolitan Municipality is implementing the Informatics Academy project prepared by Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç for young people. The project, which aims to offer new opportunities to young people in line with the rapid developments in technology and informatics, will start on March 15, 2025.

President Büyükkılıç, in his statement regarding the project that is just a few days away from starting, said, “With the training we will provide to our youth in the field of informatics, we will both develop their technical knowledge and skills and strengthen their social skills. Shaping the future of our youth will be even stronger with this project.”

Underlining their efforts for Teknofest youth, Büyükkılıç said, “We aim to make Kayseri a city that is closer to technology and grows with informatics. With this project, we aim to provide our youth with the knowledge and skills that will guide their careers. We look forward to training the informatics experts of the future.”

Kayseri Informatics Academy will provide in-depth training in areas such as artificial intelligence, programming, and cybersecurity with 30 students. During the training, students will also focus on social competencies such as problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills. In addition, students who will participate in studies using scientific methodologies will have the chance to follow the latest developments in this field.

The trainings will be held at the KAYMEK Academy affiliated with the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, located in Erenköy Neighborhood, Talas Bulvarı No:48 / Next to BP Petrol, across from the Erciyes Culture Center. The participants of the Informatics Academy will be 30 students selected through an exam. This important project, which was initiated to train the informatics experts of the future, will take Kayseri's vision in the field of technology and education one step further.
