Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar announced some time ago that an important study was being carried out to prevent the brown skunk infestation, which is one of the biggest problems of agriculture and daily life in Türkiye.
Local production: 'Pheromone trap'
The expected result of the study carried out by scientists at Sakarya University Technopolis and supported by President Alemdar has been achieved.
As a result of intensive work, SAU scientists completed the study, which they paused in 2018, and successfully produced a "pheromone trap" that will prevent skunk invasion.
TUTSAK will be introduced to Türkiye
President Alemdar announced that this important production called “TUTSAK” will be introduced to the public and invited all Sakarya people to SAU.

The valuable scientists of our Sakarya University reached a good result as a result of a feverish study. We took a step that could solve this problem in Türkiye with the ‘brown skunk pheromone’ trap called TUTSAK. Now, we will share this successful study carried out at SAU with our valuable professors and the results obtained with the public. It will be recorded as a historical development especially for our farmers, people working in the field of agriculture and all our citizens.
