Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has completed important renovation works in Buca Hasanağa Garden, which has been serving Izmir for 99 years. The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department reshaped the landscape of Hasanağa Garden, redesigning the park both aesthetically and functionally. As part of the work, 60 thousand square meters of green space was created, grass was laid, 231 new trees were planted and infrastructures such as irrigation, security and lighting were renewed. In particular, the security of the park was prioritized and security cameras and lighting poles were added, ensuring that visitors spend time in a safe environment.
New Sports Station: Accessible Sports Opportunities for Everyone
One of the most striking projects among the renovation works is the Sports Station. Established to make it easier for Izmir residents to do sports, the Sports Station has made the park more functional for sports enthusiasts by offering free sports equipment. Citizens who want to use the equipment can use different branches of equipment, from fitness equipment to bicycles, free of charge by showing their IDs. In addition, sports fields and running tracks have been rearranged, and the quality of the park's sports areas has been increased.
