
Approximately 100 students from Güzelyurt Kurtuluş High School spent an unforgettable day on the Near East University campus. The students, who experienced and explored the campus facilities, also visited the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art and the Cyprus Car Museum as part of the trip.
The students' first stop on the cultural tour was the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. The students closely examined a rich collection of paintings and sculptures by artists from 14 Turkish communities; they also took a close interest in the ship models, glassware collection and sword collection.
Afterwards, the students visited the Cyprus Car Museum, one of the most important car museums in the world, and examined the classic and sports cars with great interest. The Cyprus Car Museum has nearly 1900 cars from every period of its 2000-year history, from the early 100s to the 200s. In addition to the rich car collection, the students also examined the toys, model cars, Batman and Transformers figures and pedal vehicles with interest.
They experienced the opportunities of Near East University firsthand!
Güzelyurt Kurtuluş High School students, who visited the museums on the Near East University campus, learned about the university's facilities and had the opportunity to experience them firsthand. Güzelyurt Kurtuluş High School also visited the Health Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry, Arts and Sciences and Atatürk Education, Civil and Environmental Engineering and Communication faculties as part of the campus tour.

After their visit to the Near East University campus, Güzelyurt Kurtuluş High School Guidance Counselor Gözde Tunçbel Çiftçi made an assessment and said, “It was an inspiring experience for our students. The trip we organized added great value to their cultural, personal and academic development.” Gözde Tunçbel Çiftçi emphasized that the works of art on campus in particular had a great impact on the students. Stating that the students asked many questions with great interest and their curiosity about different subjects increased during the trip, Çiftçi said, “This also shows their desire to learn and their desire to discover.”
Expressing that they want to add workshops to future trips, Çiftçi said, “Our students gained an important vision of university life by observing the dynamic campus life on site. We think that practical activities will be much more productive for our students. In the coming years, we want to organize workshops that suit their interests and talents, allowing them to express themselves better and develop their talents.”
