Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin announced an important development in the field of transportation. Şahin announced on her social media account that new tram sets will be purchased after the Gaziray train sets. It was stated that this investment, which was made with the funds received from the Islamic Development Bank, will be made entirely with grants without imposing any financial burden on the state or the municipality.
Mayor Şahin said in his statement, “Good morning everyone, let me give you some good news. As you know, we added new train sets to Gaziray with the funds we received from Islamic Development. With the remaining amount, we are purchasing brand new tram sets this year. Moreover, we are doing this with grants, without causing any burden or burden to either the state or the municipality.
