Evrim Art Gallery brought together artist Tuğba Küçükbahar's personal exhibition titled "From Sand to Dust, From Mud to Pomegranate", blended with the ceramic dance of the inner journey and the myths breathing through clay, with Istanbul art audiences and art lovers on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Curator Günsu Saraçoğlu; “Tuğba Küçükbahar’s ceramic exhibition invites the viewer to a metamorphosis adventure tossed between the origins of life and the inner labyrinths of man. The artist transforms every touch in the production process into a ritual that embodies the transformation of the individual. The works, which bring together the stories carried by the ancient winds of the Mediterranean with the mystery of esoteric mythology, drag the viewer into a timeless dialogue.
Each ceramic piece is not just an object; it is a fragment that comes from the artist's soul. Artist Küçükbahar blends the volumetric power of sculpture with the poetic language of painting as if dancing with ceramics. While the figures take shape when the earth meets fire, they also express the emotional layers in the production process. The rebirth of esoteric symbols in clay turns into a mirror that questions the trace of man in the universe.
This exhibition is a manifesto of an inner journey kneaded with the sweat of labor and the breath of passion. It invites the audience to confront the fragility and beauty of their own existence beyond art. Tuğba Küçükbahar's works are like a silent scream: “Think, touch and discover yourself…” He shared his thoughts about the exhibition with his words.
