Equity Travel, which has been operating in England since 1933 and organizes sports and ski tours for students, visited Erciyes to research ski resorts in Türkiye.
Equity Travel School Manager Lan Davis inspected Erciyes and High Altitude Camp Center. Lan Davis was accompanied by Kayseri Erciyes A.Ş. General Manager Zafer Akşehirlioğlu.
Equity Travel, which came to Erciyes through the Turkish Promotion and Development Agency, aims to not only help students ski but also discover new cultures.
Erciyes' Skiing, Sports and High Altitude Camping Opportunities Attracted Great Attention
Davis said in a statement, “As a business that takes children to ski resorts and organizes tours, we have been in Erciyes for the last few days. We have been researching ski resorts in Türkiye and Erciyes really offers great facilities. It has over 100 km of slopes and great ski routes starting at 2.000 meters. Snow conditions are very good. There is also a great sports facility here for our children to use after skiing. There is a 50-meter swimming pool, a football field that can be used in the summer months, a gym and a fitness center. All these facilities make this a great holiday resort.”
Professional Training Opportunity with High Altitude Camp Center
One of its biggest advantages is that it offers a High Altitude Camp Center. Located at 1.850 meters above sea level, Erciyes offers a perfect environment for athletes to increase their performance and improve their endurance. Lan Davis said, “Our students can increase their physical capacity by training at high altitude. High altitude training is very important for athletes and Erciyes has a great advantage in this area.”
New Route for School Sports Tours: Erciyes
Lan Davis added, “Here, students can learn to ski on quiet slopes and in the evenings, they can benefit from the facilities. They can also come to Erciyes in the summer months and train at the High Altitude Camp Center. Training at this altitude is of great importance for the development of students.”
Lan Davis stated that they were very impressed with the opportunities offered by the region during their examinations and said that Equity Travel will begin working to include Erciyes in the school sports tour program in the future.
