Child Police Officers Take to the Field in Sakarya

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Police Department organized a colorful event within the scope of Consumer Protection Week between 15-21 March.

In the event held to raise social awareness, police officers went to inspect the market together with secondary school students.

They went out for inspection

In the event organized to instill consumer rights awareness at a young age, children wore police uniforms and inspected the weight, expiration dates and shelf-checkout price compatibility of products in markets.

The little ones examined the market shelves one by one, identified possible violations and issued the necessary warnings.

Healthy and safe product consumption

Before the event, a short training was given by the police teams about healthy and safe product consumption so that children can become conscious consumers from an early age and learn about their consumer rights.

“This City Belongs to All of Us”

In a statement made by the Police Department regarding the issue, it was stated that “On this path that we set out on with the awareness movement of “This City is All of Us”, our guests today were little police officers. Our children, who put on their police uniforms, went to the market to inspect the weight of the products, expiration dates, label control and shelf-cash price compatibility. Our event, which featured colorful images, will create awareness in both our children and consumers.”

The Metropolitan Municipality will continue its education and awareness activities to raise awareness among children in every field.
