Izmir Metropolitan Municipality increased the capacity of the Inciraltı Caravan Park, increasing the number of caravan parking platforms from 93 to 161. Together with the 89-vehicle capacity Aşık Veysel Caravan Park, the total number of caravan parking platforms in Izmir has reached 250. While there has been an increase in the number of caravans parked as the weather warms up, citizens have also expressed their satisfaction with the service.
In order to solve the parking problem caused by caravans and to ensure safe parking for caravan owners, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which put İnciraltı Caravan Park and Aşık Veysel Caravan Park into service, increased the capacity of the caravan park operating in the İnciraltı region. In this context, the capacity of the caravan park operated by İZELMAN AŞ Parking Lots Directorate was increased from 93 to 161. With the Aşık Veysel Caravan Park, which has 89 parking spaces for caravans, the total number of caravan parking platforms in the city increased to 250. Caravan owners, who subscribed to İnciraltı Caravan Park due to its unique nature, proximity to the city and ease of transportation, thanked İzmir Metropolitan Municipality for both the capacity increase and the service they received.
There are about 200 subscribers in the two caravan parks
İZELMAN AŞ Parking Lots Directorate Mustafa Kemal Coastal Boulevard Regional Manager Naim Akbıyık stated that with the arrival of summer months, the demand for caravan accommodation has increased and for this reason, a capacity increase has been made in İnciraltı Caravan Park. Stating that there are approximately 200 caravan subscribers in the two caravan parks, Akbıyık said, “İnciraltı Caravan Park is both close to the sea and convenient for citizens in terms of transportation. It is the most preferred point by citizens because it has plenty of green areas.”
Caravan fun with his dog Nisan
Osman Çam, who spends his weekends in his caravan parked in İnciraltı, said, “I have been parking my caravan here since October. I would like to thank the staff at İZELMAN. They take care of our vehicles as if they were their own and our lives as if they were their own. They help us 24 hours a day with a smile. When we look at our location, we are on the seaside with flamingos. Right behind it, there are buses going to Çeşme-Karaburun peninsula. We are at a point where there is a tram and metro. The authorities have also increased the capacity. We have friends who want to stay here right now. The demand will increase even more in the summer. The fees are also reasonable. They help with issues such as lighting and cleaning. We are in a spotlessly clean place in every way and we are happy. We have also become friends with other caravan friends. Normally, I live on the 5th floor on İnönü Street. It is difficult to find a grassy area and park by going down 5 floors for my dog Nisan. We are very comfortable here. There are places where she can walk and we can do sports.”

Ali Ekber Yıldırım, who has been living in a caravan since the pandemic period, has been using the caravan park in İnciraltı for 3 months. Yıldırım, who has a pleasant time playing the bağlama and guitar with his wife, said, “My caravan adventure started 5 years ago. We came here when we heard that İZELMAN opened a caravan parking lot. We are very happy here. There was no guarantee for the other places we parked. The increase rate was up to the initiative of the business. This place is more organized. The location is very good, transportation is easy. We loved this place, we spend our whole day here. Being clean, having plenty of walking areas, and clean air are among its most important features. It cheers you up. We carry our house like a turtle.”
“My wife gives me a concert”
Yıldırım's wife Emine Yöle Yıldırım also said, "We came here 3 months ago. We are very pleased with the caravan park. Our facilities are very nice. The weather is very nice, we are very comfortable in terms of transportation. We are happy and comfortable to be settled in such a place. My wife sometimes plays an instrument and gives me concerts here. Our days are very nice. If it is our luck, we will go on tour in the summer, but this is definitely where we will return."
Passenger cars and boats are also parked
There are 89 parking spaces for caravans and 163 parking spaces for passenger vehicles in the Aşık Veysel Caravan Park, opened by the İZELMAN AŞ Parking Lots Directorate in the Aşık Veysel Recreation Area. The park is operated under the control of security guards on a 24-hour basis, according to both the subscription system and daily and hourly entries. The entrances and exits of vehicles in the park area are recorded by security cameras. There is space for parking 64 towing boats and 161 caravans in the İnciraltı Boat and Caravan Park, opened in the İnciraltı Terminal. The park, operated by the İZELMAN AŞ Parking Lots Directorate, operates only on a subscription system, and the entrances and exits of vehicles are recorded by security cameras. The park, which is open 24 hours a day, is controlled by security guards.
