Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, developed nationally and originally by Baykar within the scope of AKINCI Project carried out under the leadership of Presidency of Defense Industries, successfully completed 100 thousand flight hours and successfully passed another important threshold in Turkish aviation history. Bayraktar AKINCI, for which export contracts have been signed with 11 countries by Baykar, continues to serve effectively in many different parts of the world.
FOUND THE WRECKAGE OF THE HELICOPTER OF THE RESIDENT
Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA played a critical role in the search and rescue operations carried out after the helicopter carrying Iranian President İbrahim Raisi and his delegation crashed on May 19, 2024. Bayraktar AKINCI, which took off from Türkiye and reached the crash site in a short time, continued its mission without interruption despite dense fog, strong winds and mountainous terrain, descending to a low altitude of 300 feet in order to detect the wreckage. Thanks to its night vision capability and advanced sensors, it determined the location of the helicopter wreckage and transmitted the coordinates to the Iranian authorities. Bayraktar AKINCI, who successfully completed its mission, was followed live by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world and had a great impact.
SIGNATURE IN AVIATION HISTORY
The national TİHA took part in the flights performed for the first time in aviation history. Following the close range flight performed by Bayraktar AKINCI and Bayraktar KIZILELMA for the first time in the test held in Çorlu on April 24, 2023, which is a first in world aviation history, a new first was achieved at TEKNOFEST 2023. FLIGHT IN TRNC
Two Bayraktar AKINCI Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (TİHA), developed nationally and originally by Baykar, performed a historic flight as part of the TRNC's 50th anniversary celebrations. Taking off from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ, the TİHAs successfully landed at Geçitkale Airport after covering a distance of 3 kilometers in a flight of approximately 1022 hours. Cruising at an average altitude of 29 thousand feet, the national TİHAs performed a greeting pass and a formation flight during the celebration program, creating an unforgettable show in the sky.
ALTITUDE RECORD OWNER
Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which has been successfully operating operationally since it entered the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) on August 29, 2021, also holds the altitude record in our national aviation history. HE WORKED IN THE EARTHQUAKE AREA
Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA flew in difficult weather conditions and took part in search and rescue, coordination, security and damage assessment works immediately after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023. 9 of the national TİHA AKINCIs, the only aircraft that flew immediately after the earthquake, took an active part in the activities carried out after the earthquake by making continuous flights.
HE HIT WHAT HE SHOTS WITH NATIONAL AMMUNITIONS
The integration process of nationally produced ammunition into Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA continues successfully. To date, within the scope of the development activities of the national TİHA, MAM-L, MAM-L TV, MAM-T, MAM-T IIR/TV, MAM-C, TOLUN, TOLUN IIR, Teber-81, Teber-82, LAÇİN 82 LGK-81, LGK-82, HGK-82, Gökçe Guidance Kit, Gözde Guidance Kit, KGK-82-SİHA, İHA-230 Supersonic Missile, İHA-122 Supersonic Missile with TV Seeker and Laser Seeker Head, and Çakır Cruise Missile have been successfully tested. Within the scope of firing tests, Bayraktar AKINCI hit its target with direct hits using national ammunition. Bayraktar AKINCI, which derives its effective offensive power from a wide range of national ammunition that can be used against different targets, increases its effectiveness and deterrent effect day by day.
AKINCI C IN THE SKY
In the test activity carried out on February 24, Bayraktar AKINCI C remained in the air for more than 1 hour. Aerodynamic parameter steps were successfully tested during the flight. Bayraktar AKINCI C will be the most effective and capable combat platform in its class with its power of 2 HP in total, including 850 X 1700 HP. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which made its first flight on December 6, 2019, entered the inventory on August 29, 2021. Recently, the 2X450 HP Bayraktar AKINCI A and the 2X750 HP Bayraktar AKINCI B have started to join the inventory of friendly and allied countries, especially Azerbaijan, as well as Turkish security forces.
LARGEST AVIATION EXPORT
On July 18, 2023, a cooperation agreement was signed between Baykar and the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The agreement was signed by Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar and Saudi Arabian Deputy Minister of Defense Khalid bin Hussein Al Bayari. Within this scope, Bayraktar AKINCI TİHAs are entering the inventory of the Air and Naval Forces Command of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bayraktar AKINCI, who holds the national aviation altitude record of 45 thousand 118 feet, flew through 2022 countries to Baku to participate in TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan held in 3.
