Ahmet Mattia Minguzzi on January 24, 2025 Kadıköy He lost his life as a result of a knife attack at a flea market. 40 days have passed since his loss. Ahmet was remembered with prayers at the Forty Mawlid organized by Bahçelievler Municipality.
The Forty Mawlid Program was held with the participation of Ahmet's family, relatives, neighbors and protocol members, hosted by Bahçelievler Municipality. After the Mawlid, an iftar meal was served to the participants.
Bahçelievler Mayor Dr. Hakan Bahadır, who attended the program, shared the family's grief in his speech and shared with the public the projects that will keep Ahmet's memory alive.
President Bahadır stated that he visited Ahmet's family last week, toured his room and saw Ahmet's great interest in skateboards, and said:
“We have a Skateboard Park that we opened before in our district: We are changing the name of this park to 'Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi Skate Park' to keep Ahmet's memory alive.”
Mayor Bahadır also stated that the Bahçelievler Municipality Youth Orchestra will organize a special concert in memory of Ahmet and that they invite all citizens to this event.
The trial process regarding the death of Ahmet Mattia Minguzzi is also being followed. The trial will be heard on April 10, 2025 at 10.00:2 at the Istanbul Anatolian XNUMXnd Juvenile High Criminal Court. President Bahadır also said the following on this matter:
“We trust in the justice of our Republic of Türkiye. We must all struggle together to prevent such pain from happening again. We have to do our part for a world where our children grow up safely.”
At the end of the program, President Bahadır thanked all the participants, especially Ahmet's family, and concluded his speech with the words, "We will never forget Ahmet Mattia. May he rest in peace."
