Following the introduction ceremony of Egeşehir Menemen Residences, the first leg of the 25 thousand social housing project promised by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay during his candidacy process, over 6 thousand applications were made in 40 days. Thousands of thank you messages were also sent by citizens via e-mail for the project. Mayor Tugay said, “The number of applications shows once again how important our social housing project is.”
Egeşehir Menemen Residences, which were introduced by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay, are attracting great interest. Over 6 thousand applications were made in 40 days to Egeşehir Construction Planning Consultancy and Technology Inc. (Egeşehir AŞ), the main implementer of the project under the roof of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which offers the opportunity to own a house for citizens in the middle and low income groups. Thousands of people tried to reach Egeşehir AŞ by phone and message for the project, which will make dreams come true with 120-month terms and installments starting from 15 thousand TL.
Tugay: We took responsibility as local government
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay stated that the number of applications once again showed how important the social housing project is and said, “In today’s conditions, the issue of housing has become a serious crisis. We have taken responsibility as the local government to produce a solution to the housing crisis. We are offering 3 houses to our citizens in Menemen with affordable payment options. Our target is 100 houses. We aim to open a path that will relieve our citizens in the middle and lower income groups.”
370 thousand square meters of construction area
The project named Egeşehir Menemen Residences will be realized on a 90 thousand square meter construction area in Koyundere Neighborhood of Menemen. 370 thousand 1 residences of 1+2, 1+3 and 1+3 types will be built on the construction area of approximately 100 thousand square meters. The project will include facilities such as social and green areas, recreation areas, park areas, social life centers, sports facilities, social and cultural venues, health units and nursery services.
Izmir residents will have their homes by paying less than the rent
The project aims to enable Izmir residents to own homes at prices lower than rent. Designed with extensive landscaping, safe playgrounds, sports and cultural areas, nature-friendly structures and modern infrastructure, the new living center draws attention with its easy payment options. 1+1 apartments will be offered for sale in installments starting from 15 thousand TL, 2+1 apartments from 22 thousand TL and 3+1 apartments from 28 thousand TL. The project will be a model in Türkiye as an accessible social housing project with its structure indexed to the minimum wage.
The first phase will be delivered in May 2027
Sales offices for 3 residences and first sales will begin in April. Following the tender for all stages, construction is planned to be completed and apartments to be delivered within 100 years. The first stage, which includes 2 apartments, is targeted to lay the foundation in May 400, with turnkey delivery in May 1. The second stage will begin in July 2025, the third stage in September 2027, and the fourth stage in November 2.
