The 2nd International Library and Technology Festival, of which Konya Metropolitan Municipality Social Innovation Agency (SİA) is a stakeholder, will be held in Istanbul on 4-6 April 2025.
The festival, which will be organized by the General Directorate of Libraries and Publications of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in partnership with SİA, aims to build a bridge between the world of technology and the library sector in order to make library services more effective, accessible and functional for users.
“PRODUCING LIBRARIES” IN SIA PARTNERSHIP
The main theme of this year's festival, which will be held during the 61st Library Week next April, expresses an approach that aims to take libraries beyond being defined as places of access to information and transform them into dynamic production centers.
In addition to providing a reading culture, libraries are also aimed to encourage production in the artistic field in addition to technology, artificial intelligence, software, design, robotics and entrepreneurship in line with 21st century skills. In addition to the library sector, it is planned to bring innovative services to the library ecosystem at the festival, where representatives from different sectors will share their knowledge and experience and create socio-cultural areas.
This year's festival will feature panels, workshops, seminars, talks, events and forums focused on innovation and technology, under the theme of "Productive Libraries".
