ASSAN Group, as one of the important rising powers in Turkey's defense and aerospace industry, will be present at the IDEX 17 Fair to be held in Abu Dhabi between February 21-2025, 2025, with a wide range of products. ASSAN Group's Products at IDEX 2025
ASSAN will introduce its GEPAT Ammunition Production and Filling Facility, which increases its ammunition filling capacity, especially for 2025 mm artillery ammunition, 155 mm rockets, NATO and Russian standard aircraft bombs (FAB/OFAB) and ammunition filling at IDEX 122. This facility will have an annual production capacity of 360.000 155 mm artillery ammunition. In addition, in addition to classic 20 km and 40 km range ammunition, new generation ammunition with 56 km and 72 km ranges will be produced. In addition, the production of short and long range 122 mm artillery rockets is also targeted.
ASSAN Group, as one of the few companies in the world that can produce aircraft bombs in both NATO and Russian standards, aims to offer export-oriented solutions with its FAB/OFAB Series Aircraft Bombs, especially for Africa and former Soviet countries. The GEPAT facility will produce 850 tons of TNT and 500 tons of plastic-bound explosives per year, and will also produce Mk-82 ammunition.
Capabilities of GEPAT Facility
The GEPAT Ammunition Production and Filling Facility will have an annual production capacity of 850 tons of TNT and 500 tons of plastic-bound explosives. In addition, critical explosive raw materials such as RDX, HMX and AP will be produced. This facility is an important element that emphasizes ASSAN Group's strong infrastructure and high production capacity in ammunition production.
Commando Mortar and Other Products
ASSAN Group will also exhibit its uniquely designed 60 mm commando mortar at IDEX 2025. This mortar has successfully passed 20 challenging tests and completed firing tests with 400 ammunition under different conditions. This mortar, which has a barrel length of 650 mm, has a maximum firing capacity of 15-20 per minute and is designed to provide close fire support to security forces. ASSAN, which also produces 60 mm, 81 mm and 120 mm mortars, also produces the ammunition for these mortars.
International Collaborations and Future Goals
ASSAN Group aims to be a major player in the international defense industry market not only with its ammunition production, but also with its new engineering solutions and production line establishment competencies. The company plans to establish an ammunition production line in Nakhchivan and aims to be more active in the Middle East, Africa and Asia markets.
