Dyslexia, a neurodevelopmental disorder, is a common health problem affecting 10 percent of the world's population. This health problem negatively affects children's educational success and can also cause difficulties in social relationships. In this context, Dr. Günet Eroğlu, who set out when her own son experienced a similar problem, developed mobile software that combines neurofeedback and multi-sensory learning on mobile platforms for the first time in the world. With this application, Eroğlu enables children in 15 different countries, from Germany to the USA, to learn comfortably, not only in Turkey.
Difficulty in reading/dyslexia, a subgroup of specific learning disabilities, is a neurodevelopmental difference that negatively affects children's educational lives and for which early diagnosis is of great importance. This condition, which manifests itself with symptoms such as difficulty in reading, writing and recognizing certain letters, affects approximately 10 percent of the world's population.
A mother's question, "If the brain can heal itself, why don't we make this power accessible to children?" became a ray of hope from Turkey to the whole world in the fight against dyslexia, which involves a difficult process for both children and families.
“Our Aim is to Unleash the Potential of Children”
As a mother, she discovered the neuroplasticity feature of the brain while looking for solutions to the difficulties of having a special, gifted child, and said, “Our goal is to reveal the potential of children and help them overcome learning difficulties. I set out on this path as a mother and I am happy to see that we have touched the lives of many children at this point. In the first stage, we established a team of 10 people consisting of neurologists, software developers, psychologists and psychiatrists. In order to bring the idea to life, we first collected clinical data and then developed algorithms. We constantly received feedback and conducted trials in order to provide an effective and reliable product service on children. We conducted hundreds of hours of R&D work and 2 clinical studies during this process.”
“A Success Story That Touched the Lives of More Than 15 Children in 5.000 Countries”
Stating that the first version of the Auto Train Brain application was launched in 2020, Eroğlu continued his words as follows: “We have continuously improved our technology. For example, we have optimized our sensors to enable more precise EEG measurements. We have made the user interface easier for families and children. We have also developed personalized training modules to better meet the individual needs of our users. To date, we have reached more than 15 users in 5.000 different countries from the UK to the US, and we are constantly updating our product with our feedback.”
“You Can Use It Anytime, Anywhere”
Stating that the application can be used easily wherever you want, Eroğlu said, “After 30 minutes of brain training, the alphabet and learning studies are more beneficial and there is an application that teaches the alphabet as integrated into the application. When the product is used 21 times or more, positive development is achieved in increasing cognitive capacity. In order to get the maximum benefit from the product, it should be used at home for 6 to 9 minutes at least 3 days a week for 15 to 20 months regularly.” The effect level is 0.88, providing a success above other solutions all over the world.
