Entertech Istanbul Teknokent, one of Turkey's leading technoparks, is bringing local technologies to the UK's rapidly growing entrepreneurship ecosystem with the Market Expansion Program it has implemented in collaboration with YTU Yıldız Teknopark. With the acceleration program, which was established by two technoparks coming together for the first time in Turkey, entrepreneurs will dominate the UK entrepreneurship ecosystem and take an important step towards globalization.
Entertech Istanbul Teknokent, which is the only technopark where two R&D universities, Istanbul University and Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, are partners, and YTU Yıldız Teknopark has launched the Market Expansion Program. Within the scope of the program, 12 entrepreneurs who develop innovative solutions and aim to open up to international markets will be offered the opportunity to establish a strong network and scale rapidly in the dynamic ecosystem of England.
Companies providing services in the field of software can apply
The Market Expansion Program targets digital finance and fintech, future business solutions, digital commerce and retail, smart cities and urban technology, industry 4.0 & digital manufacturing, platform and marketplace innovation, and digital gaming sectors. The program, which companies providing services in the software sector can apply for, includes a 4-week online program, participation in London Tech Week, a 2-week intensive physical program in London, a special demo day, and access to a workspace in London. During this period, entrepreneurs will be able to participate in online sessions including target market analysis, business model optimization, and mentor sessions during the preparation process for the UK, have the opportunity to establish international contacts by closely following global trends, have face-to-face meetings, networking events, interact with industry leaders, and have the opportunity to meet with UK-based investors and potential business partners. At the end of the program, entrepreneurs will have mastered the UK entrepreneurship ecosystem and taken an important step towards globalization. They will also meet with investors in the region.

Underlining that one of the most important strategies of Entertech Istanbul Teknokent is to be a specialized technokent, Entertech Istanbul Teknokent General Manager Dr. Muhammed Kasapoğlu stated that for this reason, they shape their international acceleration programs in line with this strategy. Stating that one of their strongest points is this approach, Kasapoğlu said, “Another issue is that an acceleration program is being organized with two Teknokents for the first time in our country. While designing the program, we benefited from both our own experiences and the experience of YTÜ Yıldız Teknopark. With our program, we aim to integrate 12 of our companies into the UK entrepreneurship ecosystem. Here, we will support their incorporation, bring them together with investors and announce our local technology there. As a result of the accelerator we held in Amsterdam, 3 of our entrepreneurs received an incorporation offer. We plan to achieve similar successful results in this accelerator. In addition to the companies having specific goals and budgets for internationalization, our expectations also include being members of the Service Exporters' Association. We have laid the foundations for our UK office, which we will establish in the future, and we are waiting for all Turkish companies that want to grow with us in this ecosystem.”
