A fire broke out in a historical building used as a restaurant next to the Spice Bazaar in Eminönü. The fire quickly grew and spread throughout the entire building. Istanbul Fire Department intervened and brought the fire under control in just 5 minutes.
The fire was reported at 12.45, and the Istanbul Fire Department arrived at the scene at 12.50 and provided first aid. 75 firefighters from Eminönü, Beyoğlu, Şişli, Bakırköy and Bayrampaşa fire departments responded to the fire. Although the flames engulfed the entire building, the fire was brought under control thanks to the rapid response of the teams.
While there were no deaths or injuries in the fire, investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
