Izmir Metropolitan Municipality increased the number of Yuvamiz Izmir Children's Activity Centers operating in many parts of the city to 20. The Children's Activity Center established in Yamanlar was opened with a ceremony attended by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay. Mayor Tugay said that they aim to increase the number of centers to 25 this year.
The 36th of Izmir Children's Activity Centers, which are operated by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality for children between 66-20 months, was opened in Yamanlar. Our Izmir Yamanlar Nest was put into service with a ceremony attended by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay. Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal and parents benefiting from the center attended.
“We are showing sensitivity to ensure justice”
Speaking at the ceremony, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay stated that they maintain a fair local governance approach throughout the city. Noting that they work with this approach together with all district mayors, Mayor Tugay said, “We are sensitive to ensure justice and equality in access to services in every district and neighborhood of Izmir. We have social services for every age group, but we are working to produce more services for our children and youth, who are the guarantee of our future, and our elderly and disabled citizens. While we are progressing in line with a healthy roadmap in the areas of infrastructure, transportation, traffic and urban transformation, we are also continuing our social services strongly so that none of our citizens feel excluded or alone in this city.”

In his speech, President Tugay pointed out the importance of education in shaping the future of children, and stated that they raise self-confident, country-loyal and well-equipped children in our 20 Yuvamız İzmir Children's Activity Centers, and said, “No child born in Turkey has a lower capacity than a child born in another country. They come to the world as children of a strong civilization. What we need to do is to equip them with sufficient equipment and prepare them for life. I wish this duty had been duly and properly fulfilled by the relevant ministries, and we would have only built roads and dealt with cleaning. However, since we see deficiencies here and do not accept this, we provide such services and will continue to do so. I would also like to thank our teachers. Teaching is a difficult job. I am proud of our teachers in our kindergartens. We are very pleased with their work. However, just as we expect everyone's contribution to do better, we also expect their contribution. Children who receive education here will learn about their city and country and will have important equipment for the future. We will enjoy watching them develop. May our new center be auspicious for our city.”

Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal said, “We are happy to bring a new service area to our district together with our İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, who has supported us since we took office. While preparing our children for the future, we are also opening a place where working families can leave their children. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tugay, who toured the new facility and participated in activities with the children, visited Yamanlar Neighborhood Headman Alperen Altun after the opening. Altun, who conveyed his requests to Mayor Tugay, said, “You brought the long-awaited services to our neighborhood in a short time. We thank you.” Mayor Tugay, who was served Hızır lokma, also gave instructions to start the necessary work to renew the sports facility in the neighborhood, which had become inactive after the fire, and to clean the stream banks and school fronts.
20 centers, 5 thousand TL monthly fee
With its expert teaching staff, spacious buildings, colorful classrooms and full content, children spend happy times in peace and security at Yuvamız İzmir Children's Activity Centers; and families feel comfortable both economically and spiritually. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will continue to bring all children together with warm homes so that they can have equal beginnings and take strong steps into the future. Yuvamız İzmir Children's Activity Centers are located in Aliağa, Ataşehir, Balçova Selçuk Yaşar, Beydağ, Bornova, İnönü, Evka-1, Buca, Dikili, Egekent, Evka-2, Evka-4, Gaziemir, Örnekköy, Görece, Güzelyalı, Kiraz and Torbalı, Bayraklı and Yamanlar, are located in 20 locations. Considering the economic conditions, prices were also reduced. With the instructions of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay, the monthly fee of 10 thousand TL was reduced to 2024 thousand TL with a 50 percent discount as of November 5.
