Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Feeds Its Wild Horses with Meadow Grass and Barley

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Veterinary Affairs Department teams do not forget to feed the creatures living in the wild. The wild horses living in the Karboğazı area at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains were fed with meadow grass and barley brought by the Metropolitan teams.

When the grass was covered by snow, the Metropolitan Municipality came to the rescue of the horses

In addition to the animal shelters within its body, the Metropolitan teams also meet the nutritional needs of animals living on the streets with food and water support, and leave feed for the noble inhabitants of nature, the wild horses, at certain intervals.

The wild horses living in the Karboğazı area of the Tarsus district, one of the regions where winter is the harshest in Mersin, have difficulty finding food due to the decrease in grass and the vegetation being covered by snow with the winter season. The horses are fed thanks to the teams that bring them feed at certain intervals. The wild horses and foals that come in groups to eat the feed left at different points created beautiful images. The teams also left food for the wild dogs living in the region.
