
The Solar House belonging to Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality hosted students on the occasion of Energy Efficiency Week.
The Renewable Energy and Energy Management Branch Directorate, affiliated to the Department of Environmental Protection and Control, continues to carry out awareness-raising activities among children and young people on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and the effects of climate change in order to raise environmentally sensitive future generations.
As part of Energy Efficiency Week, an event was organized at the Solar House in the Sümerpark Common Living Area for students studying at schools.

As part of the event, Gazi Secondary School students marched from their school to the Solar House, carrying banners drawing attention to energy efficiency and chanting slogans such as “Green Energy, Blue Planet” and “Efficient Energy, Safe Tomorrow”.
Afterwards, instructors from the Renewable Energy and Energy Management Branch Directorate made a presentation to the students on "effective use of energy, the effects of renewable energy and fossil fuels on climate change".
After answering the students' questions about solar energy, fossil fuels and the effects of climate change, they were given a tour of the Solar House and introduced to its features and applications such as solar cookers and solar dryers.
