Türkiye Increases Its Power in Logistics

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that they have come to an end in the Kayseri Logistics Center project. Minister Uraloğlu said, “We have come to an end in the Boğazköprü Logistics Center in Kayseri and the Andaval Freight Center projects in Niğde, which are located at critical points of our country’s transportation network and where freight flow is high.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made statements regarding the Kayseri Boğazköprü Logistics Center and Niğde Andaval Freight Center built by the Turkish Republic State Railways (TCDD).

Minister Uraloğlu said that as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, they attach great importance to the construction of logistics centers in order to create a planned and integrated transportation infrastructure in almost every region and to make significant contributions to import and export. Minister Uraloğlu said, “In this direction, we are rapidly continuing the work on a new logistics center that will be integrated into the railway network. We have reached the completion stage of the Boğazköprü Logistics Center Project in Kayseri, which is located at one of the critical points of our country's transportation network and where freight flow is high. With Boğazköprü, the number of logistics centers in Turkey will increase to 13.”

“Boğazköprü Logistics Center Will Serve with an Annual Capacity of 1,8 Million Tons”

Minister Uraloğlu, who emphasized that Kayseri Boğazköprü Logistics Center will provide service with an annual capacity of 670 million tons in an area of ​​1,8 thousand square meters, said, “With this new facility that we will bring to Kayseri, one of the important industrial cities of our country, we will provide great support to both industry and production. In this way, our business people will both deliver their products to the market quickly and safely, and will also gain an advantage in world trade, where competition conditions are becoming more difficult every day.”

“Niğde Andaval Load Center Built with a Capacity of 1,2 Million Tons”

Minister Uraloğlu, who also provided information about the Niğde Andaval Freight Center, emphasized that they have made very rapid progress in the project they started in 2023 and announced that they are about to complete the project. Uraloğlu said, “Our freight center, which will provide service in an area of ​​27 square meters, was built to provide service with an annual capacity of 500 million tons. There will also be an additional expansion area of ​​1,2 thousand square meters. With this project that we will implement in Niğde, which is the center of our country's railway network, Turkey's logistics infrastructure will be strengthened and a significant contribution will be made to the Turkish logistics sector.”

Minister Uraloğlu, who noted that logistics centers and freight centers are important facilities that strengthen the country's transportation infrastructure and make transportation activities more economical and efficient, said, “Our logistics center projects have strategic importance in increasing our country's competitive power in international trade and making transportation more economical. With these investments in Kayseri and Niğde, we are both providing support to our industrialists and providing significant momentum to railway transportation. These centers provide great advantages to our industrialists by developing transportation routes and establishing effective connections between transportation modes. We attach great importance to logistics centers so that operations such as storage, maintenance-repair, loading-unloading and handling can be carried out more quickly and cost-effectively.”
