The Turkish Textile Machinery Sector's Global Goal is Big

Textile Machinery and Accessories Manufacturers Association (TEMSAD) stands out as the leading organization representing the Turkish textile machinery sector worldwide. Founded in 1998, TEMSAD covers 189% of the Turkish textile machinery industry with its 90 members and directs the sustainable growth of the sector.

Increasing its exports by 2024% in 20 and approaching 1 billion dollars, the sector is moving forward with the aim of reaching a stronger position in the global market. TEMSAD Chairman of the Board Adil Nalbant summarized this success of the sector with the following words: “The Turkish textile machinery sector has proven its strength once again with its export volume approaching 2024 billion dollars in 1. Our 2025 goal is to take this success even further and increase the innovative and competitive power of Turkish technology in the global market. We believe that we will achieve this goal with our R&D and design investments, sustainability-focused technologies and international collaborations.”

2025 Goal: More Exports, More Innovation

  • The Turkish textile machinery sector aims for sustainable growth in exports by increasing global market diversity and developing new technologies. The sector, which has a strong presence especially in the European, South American, Russian and Middle Eastern markets, plans to increase its export volume to 2025 billion dollars in 1,2.
  • Dyeing, washing, drying and finishing machines, which constitute 70% of the sector, are the cornerstone of Turkey's export success, while increasing its competitive power in the world market with innovative solutions such as artificial intelligence-supported quality control systems and recycling machines.

Sustainability and Green Transformation Pioneer TEMSAD positions the issue of sustainability as one of the main agenda items of the sector. Domestic technologies that provide energy and water savings contribute to environmentally friendly production processes. The association carries out extensive collaborations both at home and abroad in order to increase the use of domestic machines in the textile industry and expand its global market share.

International Collaborations and Policy Studies

TEMSAD continues to promote Turkish textile machinery worldwide through collaborations with 19 different international organizations. The association also leads the development of policies that encourage domestic production with the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. These efforts also include new steps aimed at combating unfair competition in the sector and increasing domestic production.

Adil Nalbant's Vision for the Future Chairman Nalbant draws a hopeful picture for the future of the sector: “Our textile machinery sector will achieve greater success in 2025 with its strong structure based on R&D and innovation. We believe in the power of working together and we continue our work with determination to ensure that Turkish textile machinery takes its rightful place on the world stage.”
