President Altay said, “Konya is an important sports city. Because it has very important sports facilities for this. We are currently in Turkey's first Olympic velodrome. As Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, we are working very hard to actively use this velodrome, which was built within the scope of the Islamic Solidarity Games in 2021. Our friends are currently training. Konya is a bicycle city. We are here to accompany the training he is doing in this velodrome in order to develop cycling sports within the scope of our work for the use of bicycles in every sense.”

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK INTENSIVELY TO MAKE KONYA KNOWN FOR SPORTS AND CYCLING”

President Altay stated that they are excited for the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup and proud of the success of the youth, and said, “Konya hosts many important competitions because it has such important facilities. In March, we will be holding an important championship related to cycling in Turkey’s first Olympic velodrome. What is pleasing for our Metropolitan Municipality is that the only athlete from Turkey who has earned the right to compete is an athlete from our Metropolitan Municipality. We are making a very intensive effort to increase this number and to have our new children participate in cycling races in the velodrome. I wish success to our youth, our trainers and the managers of our sports club. Hopefully, we will continue to work intensively from now on so that Konya will be remembered with sports and cycling.”
