
Gökmen Space and Aviation Education Center (GUHEM), Turkey's first space and aviation themed center, and Özay Günsel Children's University have joined forces!
Developing innovative projects at national and international levels, Özay Günsel Children's University continues to expand its partnerships abroad. In this context, an important cooperation protocol was signed in the field of space and aviation education with Gökmen Space and Aviation Education Center (GUHEM), Turkey's first space and aviation themed education center.
Within the scope of the protocol signed between GUHEM and Özay Günsel Children's University, which draws attention with its science, technology, art and innovative education approach, it is aimed to increase the interest in space sciences and aviation fields with the education, events, camps and applications to be organized for children and young people.
Children's interest in science will increase!
The protocol, which includes projects that will increase children's interest in science, has also formalized the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions. Camps to be organized in the summer and winter terms within the scope of the protocol will allow children to get acquainted with science in a fun environment. In addition, students' technical skills will be supported with various applied workshops such as robotics, coding, astronaut training simulations and model airplane construction. Özay Günsel Children's University students will visit GUHEM's high-tech exhibition areas and experience scientific applications on site. In addition, inspiring success stories and scientific discoveries will be introduced to students with events to be organized on special days such as World Space Week. Near East University will also support the cooperation of the two institutions by opening its campus facilities for use.

Özay Günsel Children's University's most important mission is to ensure that children discover new areas of interest and gain strong foundations that will prepare them for the future, said Özay Günsel Children's University Board of Trustees Chair Anna Günsel, adding, "This cooperation protocol we signed with Gökmen Space and Aviation Education Center (GUHEM) will provide our children with the opportunity to discover science and increase their interest in exciting areas such as space and aviation."
Günsel also emphasized that the collaboration with GUHEM will provide students with the opportunity to get to know scientific discoveries in a fun and interactive way, and said, “We will support our children in building a future intertwined with science while developing their technical skills through the experiences they will gain in training camps, practical workshops and high-tech exhibition areas.”
