China's New Ambassador to Türkiye Jiang Xuebin Starts His Duty

The new Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Turkey, Jiang Xuebin, arrived in Turkey to begin his duties on January 5, 2025. Welcomed at Ankara Airport by Turkish Foreign Ministry officials and senior diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, ​​Jiang expressed his feelings in a written statement.

Jiang Xuebin made the following statement in his statement:

“I am honored to serve as the 16th Chinese Ambassador to Turkey. I feel that this position is both a great responsibility and an important mission. In recent years, under the guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-Turkey relations have made steady progress and cooperation in various fields has deepened. Significant achievements were made in China-Turkey relations in 2024. The successful meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit gave a new direction to the relations between the two countries. Currently, important opportunities lie ahead for China-Turkey relations. During my term, I aim to fully implement the important agreements of the two leaders and take our cooperation to a new level on the basis of mutual benefit and develop our strategic partnership.”

Turkish Foreign Ministry officials welcomed Jiang's assumption of office, stating that Turkey attaches great importance to its relations with China and that they are ready to provide all kinds of convenience during Jiang's term in office.
