Antalya Airport Capacity to Increase to 82 Million Passengers

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, emphasizing that investments in Antalya do not only focus on highway works, announced major projects and progress for the city. Minister Uraloğlu shared important information about the expansion works carried out at Antalya Airport. He gave the good news that the capacity of Antalya Airport will be increased from 927 million passengers to 35 million passengers with the project initiated with an investment of 82 million euros without spending a single penny from state resources. It was stated that more than 2024 million passengers will travel through Antalya Airport as of 40, and it was announced that 97 percent of the project has been physically realized to date and that it is targeted to be completed in April 2024.

In addition, Uraloğlu, who stated that important steps have been taken towards Antalya becoming a yacht tourism center in the Eastern Mediterranean region, reminded that Alanya and Kaş yacht harbors have been put into service. He also gave information that the construction work of the Gazipaşa Yacht Harbor has been completed and will be put into service very soon. Uraloğlu, who stated that the infrastructure of the Demre Yacht Harbor has also been completed, expressed that they aim to complete the superstructure projects by 2025. It is stated that Antalya's important role in yacht tourism will be reinforced with these projects.
