An Inspiring Start to 2025 with the Art of Scent

Bringing together art enthusiasts, Maison Yirmisekiz Art Club visited the environmentally friendly facilities of international essence producer MG International Fragrance Company in Gebze. Drawing attention with its technology, innovation and modern living spaces offered to its employees, the facility received great appreciation from Maison Yirmisekiz members.

The visit began with a tour of production lines and laboratories. Under the guidance of MG International Corporate Communications Director Duygu Beşbıçak, participants discovered the details of essence production and formulation processes. They had the opportunity to closely observe how samples were analyzed with footprint technology, the stages of formula creation, and compatibility and permanence tests, thus getting to know the scientific aspects of scent.

They Produced Their Personal Scents with the “Discover Your Scent” Event

Following the laboratory tour, Maison Yirmisekiz members designed their own scents using carefully prepared scent kits at the “Discover Your Scent” event. During the event, the company’s vision and inspiring approaches to art were shared during the enjoyable conversations held with MG International CEO Aslan Gülçiçek and COO Sibel Gülçiçek Elkazan.

Exporting to 55 countries around the world, MG International Fragrance Company supplies essences to nearly 4 producers in Turkey and around the world. The company's essences reach consumers in 40 different sectors, from perfumes to detergents, candles to cleaning products. In addition, it creates innovations that shape the future of the sector with Turkey's first R&D center, which it established in 2017.

In Search of History: The Journey of Scent

The mini museum at the facility in Gebze introduces visitors to the history of scent. The museum displays the products that the company's founder Mişel Gülçiçek and Turkey's first perfumer Erol Meşulam began collecting in 1961. Among the eye-catching works are Neslişah Sultan's marble incense burner, 19th-century rosewater tanks, alcohol meters, pocket perfumes, travel-type scent sets, scented powders and bottles produced by Beykoz Glass.

A Period Full of Art

Maison Yirmisekiz Art Club offered a rich perspective on art by addressing topics such as Art Collecting, Photography and Flower Art in the last quarter of 2024. The events, which were completed with the theme of “Scent Art” in January, revealed the inspiring meeting of art and science. The collaboration between MG International Fragrance Company and Maison Yirmisekiz Art Club made a meaningful start to 2025 by leaving an unforgettable mark in both the worlds of art and science.
