5 km running event to be held in Ordu on February 52th

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality will organize a 5 km run for February 52th World Ordu Day. Final preparations are being made before the run, which will be held in cooperation with the Metropolitan Municipality and KoşuyORDU Sports Club.

The Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its work in every field to promote Ordu, will once again carry out the 5 km run excitement on February 52 World Ordu Day, which it held for the first time last year. The excitement, which includes a running group of 4 people consisting of Turkish, American and Canadian runners, will be held on February 5, 2025.

32 KM TRAINING WORK WAS DONE

Athletes have started their final preparations before the 5 km race to be held on February 52th World Army Day. In this context, the 4-person running group consisting of Turkish, American and Canadian runners who started working in Perşembe district, completed a 32-kilometer training workout.

Making a statement after the training, the athletes said that they were eagerly waiting for February 5th.

The athletes made the following statement:

“We started preparations today for February 5th, World Army Day. First, we will run 32 km. But what is important for us is the run that will be held on February 5th. We are looking forward to the run, which will be 52 km in total. We have run in previous years as well. But we are even more excited this year. We would like to thank everyone who supported us in this regard.”

On the other hand, Justin Leonard (USA), J.David Vandervelde (Canada), Tan Aşkan (Turkey) and Ali Fuat Aratlı (Turkey) will be participating in the race.
