TURASAS Sakarya Receives 910 Million Lira Investment Support

The Presidential Decree regarding the 2025 investment program was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. In this program, which will contribute to Turkey's economic and industrial development goals, the Sakarya Regional Directorate of Turkey Rail System Vehicles Industry Inc. (TÜRASAŞ) was supported with a remarkable allocation. TÜRASAŞ received one of the largest investment supports in its history with a total budget of 910 million 913 thousand 840 liras.

Machinery and Equipment Investments

Within the scope of the budget allocated to TÜRASAŞ, it is planned to invest in advanced technologies to be used in the production and maintenance of rail system vehicles. While 221 million 628 thousand liras were allocated for machinery equipment and machine tools, 55 million 800 thousand liras were allocated for the underground wheel lathe, 94 million 78 thousand liras for the wagon transport machine and 47 million 250 thousand liras for the vertical lathe. In addition, a total investment of more than 100 million liras will be made for special equipment and facilities such as battery charge discharge unit, bogie test stand and air conditioning test maintenance workshop.

Electrical Test and Assembly Factory

One of the most striking elements of the program is the Electrical Test and Assembly Factory project, which will cost 1 billion 610 million 580 thousand liras. 2025 million liras was allocated from the 350 budget for the construction of this factory. This investment aims to increase the domestic and national production capacity of Turkey's rail system vehicles. In addition, 38 million 921 thousand liras were allocated for the aluminum profile warehouse to be established next to the factory, 14 million 736 thousand liras for the new train set assembly line, and 10 million liras for the reinforcement of the guesthouse.

Local and National Move in Rail Systems

This record budget allocated to TÜRASAŞ serves Turkey's goals of localization and industrial independence in rail systems. Even details such as the 5 million lira allocated for the renewed lodgings, transformers and power lines show the scope of the investment and the meticulous planning. With the completion of these investments, TÜRASAŞ will be able to take a more active role in regional and international rail system projects.

While the 2025 investment program reinforces Turkey's claim in the field of industry and technology, the projects in Sakarya prove that the country is on its way to becoming one of the epicenters of rail system production.
