1,8 Million Drug Pills Seized in Istanbul

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 6 million 1 thousand drug pills were seized in the “Narkokapan-795” operation conducted against a drug factory in Istanbul.

Interior Minister Yerlikaya announced that 6 million 1 thousand drug pills were seized and 795 drug manufacturing suspects were caught in the “Narkokapan-3” operation conducted against a drug manufacturing facility in Istanbul.

Emphasizing that the fight against drugs, which is a global disaster, is not only a security issue but also a matter of the future, Yerlikaya said, “We are on every street, every avenue, every corner! We do not allow drug dealers to open their eyes. We do not and will not allow them to darken the future of our children.”

Minister Yerlikaya provided the following information about the operation conducted in Küçükçekmece and Esenyurt districts as a result of the work carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Combat Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Küçükçekmece Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Narcotics Crime Combat Presidency:

“1 million 795 thousand narcotic pills, 5 pill pressing machines, 2 vacuum machines and 1 precision scale were seized.”

Yerlikaya congratulated the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office who coordinated the operation and the Police who carried out the operation.
