
Interior Minister Yerlikaya announced that 8 kilograms of methamphetamine were seized and one suspected drug dealer was caught in the “Narkokapan-145” operation held in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul.
Interior Minister Yerlikaya announced that in the “Narkokapan-8” operation conducted in Istanbul’s Beylikdüzü district against drug manufacturers, 145 kilograms of methamphetamine was seized and one suspect who was a drug dealer was caught.
Minister Yerlikaya gave the following information about the operation carried out in Beylikdüzü district as a result of the work carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Combat Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Narcotics Crime Combat Presidency:
“106 kilograms of liquid Methamphetamine, 34 kilograms of solid Methamphetamine impregnated with clay, 5 kilograms of crystalline Methamphetamine, 7 kilograms of precursor chemicals and 1 precision scale were seized.”
Emphasizing that they see drugs as a global disaster in the Turkish Century, Yerlikaya said, “Our main goal in the fight against drugs is to turn our country into an inaccessible and forbidden fortress for drugs. I congratulate our Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office who coordinated the operation and our Heroic Police Officers who carried out the operation.”
