11 suspects were caught in an illegal excavation operation in the Taraklı District of Sakarya.
Sakarya Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams conducted an operation upon receiving a tip-off that unidentified persons were carrying out illegal excavations in the Hacıyakup Neighborhood of the Taraklı District.
After the teams that went to the area determined that the suspects were not at the scene, a search was conducted in the area and it was found that the previously placed camera trap was removed from its location so that it could not be recorded, thus damaging it.
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that there were 2 suspects, 11 of whom were women.
In the operation, the individuals were caught with the crime tools: 3 mobile phones, 1 sledgehammer, 1 shovel and 1 pickaxe.
Legal proceedings were initiated against 11 suspects.
