
In its 101st year, the 101 Women Say No to Violence International Painting Exhibition opened at the Historical Bıçakçı Han in Basmane, which was brought to the city by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. The exhibition, which aims to combat violence and discrimination against women and to raise global awareness for the reduction of gender inequality with 101 painters, will be open to visitors until January 31.
Setting out with the slogan “Art, the universal language of civilization, heals, beautifies and strengthens,” the Sevgi Çemberi Association opened the 101 Women Say No to Violence in Their 101st Year International Painting Exhibition with 101 painters on the 101st anniversary of its foundation. The exhibition, which will be open to visitors until January 31 at the historical Bıçakçı Han, aims to combat violence and discrimination against women and to create global awareness for reducing gender inequality. Öznur Tugay, wife of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay, Zeynep Pamukçu, President of the 244th Regional Federation of Inner Wheel, one of the world’s largest women’s voluntary service organizations, Inner Wheel International Board Member İclal Kardıçalı, Inner Wheel National Committee President Gülgün Dolunay, and Atakent Inner Wheel Club past president and exhibition coordinator Şükran Aydın also attended the exhibition. Visiting hours for the exhibition have been determined as 09.30:17.00-XNUMX:XNUMX on weekdays.
