With the ForCity Smart 41T tram, the ŠKODA Group is making public transport on route 61 in Bonn more efficient and modern. The new tram is 30,6 metres long, has a capacity for 180 passengers and offers 60 seats. With a maximum speed of 80 km/h, the tram provides a convenient and comfortable option for urban transport.
Innovative Features and Accessibility
ForCity Smart 41T stands out with its design that meets various needs for passengers. Separate spaces for wheelchairs, baby strollers and bicycles increase accessibility in public transport. In addition, the tram is equipped with an air conditioning system that complies with sustainability goals using environmentally friendly carbon dioxide refrigerant.
Red Dot Design Award and Modern Technology
This year, the ŠKODA Group's ForCity Smart 41T tram won the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for its modern design and functionality. The award highlights the ŠKODA Group's achievements in innovative and aesthetic design.
Collaboration with Bonn and Future Plans
The ŠKODA Group aims to deliver a total of 38 trams under its agreement with Stadtwerke Bonn. Four units have been delivered so far, one of which was exhibited at InnoTrans 2024 and attracted great interest.
