The TESID Summit, which was held on December 11th by the Turkish Electronics Industrialists Association (TESID), aimed to bring together leading names in the electronics industry, discuss the latest developments in the sector, target-oriented strategies and develop cooperation opportunities. The 22nd TESID Innovation and Creativity Awards were also presented to their owners within the scope of the summit.
The Turkish Electronics Industrialists Association (TESID) brought together important players at a summit held at the Istanbul Cevher Hotel on December 11 to shape the future of the sector. The effects of technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and virtual reality on the sector and the steps that need to be taken to increase Turkey’s competitive power in this area were discussed in the panels titled “Horizon Tour and Target-Oriented Strategy in Technology” and “Technology and Art Unity” held within the scope of the summit.
TESID Board Chairman Yaman Tunaoglu, emphasized that the electronics sector is in a major transformation process and stated that Turkey has become an important manufacturer in this field, but more importance should be given to R&D investments, new technologies and collaborations for more growth and efficiency.
“Horizon Tour and Target-Oriented Strategy in Technology” on the panel, GE Aerospace Türkiye General Manager Dr. Aybike Molbay ve From Sabanci University Prof. Dr. Oguz Baburoglu, evaluated the effects of future technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and quantum computers on the sector and the steps that need to be taken to increase Turkey's competitiveness in this field.

Winners of the 22nd TESID Innovation and Creativity Awards Announced
At the award ceremony held within the scope of the summit, the 22nd annual electronics industry award ceremony was held to support innovation and creativity. TESID Innovation and Creativity Awards found its owners. Big Company, SME, Entrepreneurial (Startup) company ve Doctoral Thesis A total of 17 successful projects were awarded in the categories.
Award winners: SAVRONİK, EHSİM EMPA, NETAŞ, ARVENTO, ELEKTRA, NETELSAN, MULTİTEK, ONUR, BARFAS, INHEND, ASİS, KAREL, BİYOMOD, DEICO, HAVELSAN and Dr. Umut Fırat as the most successful doctoral thesis.
With these awards, Turkey's innovation potential in the electronics sector was once again revealed. TESID Board Chairman Yaman Tunaoğlu stated that digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence technologies can increase efficiency and reduce costs, and that projects applying for the TESID Awards are clustered around this goal.
TESID Award Executive Board Chairman Prof. Sıddık Yarman He emphasized that they attach importance to the TESID award program in supporting R&D studies in the sector, strengthening the cooperation between the private sector and academia, and increasing the awareness of individuals and institutions that continue their activities with courageous steps in this field.
The TESID Summit was an important meeting point for the Turkish electronics sector. The topics discussed at the summit and the awards given offer important clues for the future of the sector.
